Description
Spa Leak Sealer is a concentrated formulation for sealing small leaks in hot tubs and spas. Can be used for leaks in either the shell and/or internal plumbing system. Note: this product should not be used when the hot tub water temperature is below 6 degrees Celsius (°C).
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove all cartridge filters or for sand filters select the BYPASS option (if applicable) before dosing product.
- With the pump running, slowly add the required dose of Spa Leak Sealer (see dosage below) through the skimmer or in front of any other suction inlet. AIR FANS SHOULD NOT BE RUNNING DURING THE PROCESSING PROCEDURE.
- Spa Leak Sealer is very heavy and will sink to the deepest point, which in most cases will be below the bottom of the drain, so the product must be resuspended every 45 minutes while the water circulates.
- Let the water circulate for at least 3 hours and then check if the leak has stopped (if visible) and/or check the water level. If the leak has slowed, continue to operate the circulation system for another 3 hours.
- When the leak stops, turn off the pump and let the debris settle to the bottom of the spa – this can then be removed with proper spa suction.
- Replace the cartridge filters and let the system circulate for 45 minutes, then remove the cartridges and clean them thoroughly with clean water to remove any product residue from the filter veins.
- After the leak has stopped, it is recommended that the tub/hot tub be completely drained and left empty for at least 48 hours to allow the product to harden.
Leakage may slow down after one application, in which case we recommend a second application.
